8th Graders Learn About Healthy Living & Nutrition

In our RCMS Family and Consumer Science classes, Rachel Wright and Hazel Jackson from the 4-H Extension Office are working with our 8th graders this week to learn about healthy living and nutrition. Each day, they are presenting a mini lesson about nutrition and then the students are learning a skill based around that lesson for cooking. The menu includes: apples with PB/Yogurt dip, stir fry, baked chicken nuggets, and smoothies. The 4-H office is providing all of the food and materials for our class and the kids are really enjoying learning these skills.
