Alexander Attends American Association of School Librarians Conference

Rockcastle County High School Library Media Specialist, Ms. Joanie Alexander, attended the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) Conference last week, November 14-16, in Louisville, KY. Ms. Joanie received a grant to attend the national conference through Bound to Stay Bound (BTSB), a book company that specializes in services for school library media centers across the nation. She is pictured with BTSB President, Bob Sibert. Throughout the duration of the conference, Ms. Joanie attended a variety of sessions and presentations where she gained valuable information and ideas to bring back to the RCHS Library Media Center. The conference also featured keynote speakers including authors Ellen Oh and Dr. Adolph Brown, III, and Jarrett J. Krosoczka. The American Association of School Librarians Conference is hosted every other year in various cities across the nation.
