BES Students Bring Holiday Cheer to Nursing Home Patients

Students of the 3rd grade at Brodhead Elementary traveled on Monday to Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation Nursing Home to share a visit with residents while caroling and providing an extra layer of warmth. As a way of giving back to their community 3rd grade students dedicated their time and efforts for a blanket drive to give a blanket for each resident. 3rd grade students were able to deliver their gift with a visit echoing the halls with a little Christmas cheer. Over the past few weeks students have been collecting donations of new blankets to give to the residents to help them stay warm during the winter months. The 3rd grade was able to collect over 100 blankets, a blanket for EVERY resident and even a few extra for any new patients. Thanks to our students, families, and community for your support of our Brodhead Elementary 3rd grade students and their drive to give back to their community.
