BES Weekly Newsletter 2/6/2017

  • Monday, February 13 – Candy gram money due – $1 each
  • Wednesday, February 15 – Spring Pictures
  • Thursday, February 16 – Grandparent Support Group Meeting (see info below)

Beginning Monday, January 30 through Friday, February 10, PTG will be having a Box Top drive.  Our goal is to reach $300 this quarter.  This is a great and easy way to earn money for our school. Each class that collects 500 Box Tops will receive an extra recess.  The overall winning pod will receive a Pizza Party!  When students bring them in, have them mark their name and teacher on a bag or envelope.

It is time once again to prepare for Valentine’s Day.  Letters have been sent home with students about Valentine’s Candy Grams.  This year students will get a FULL size candy bar of their choice and a special message delivered to them on Valentine’s Day.  Candy grams are $1 each.

The last day to turn in candy grams is Monday, February 13th.

Grandparents, are you raising a grandchild in your home?  Would you like to attend a support group to get information and ideas to help you through this process?  Attend our monthly support group held at the Rockcastle County Extension Office.  The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 16, at Noon.  Please call Angie at 256-5118 to make a reservation.

Please make arrangements for your child in case of inclement weather.  Listen to local radio and TV stations for cancellations and early dismissal information.  Make sure your child’s office card is up to date with current phone numbers and people that your child may be released to if you can’t get to the school or bus stop.

Remember to have your child check the lost and found for missing items.  It’s always a good idea to write your child’s name on jackets, lunch boxes, backpacks, etc.
