Brodhead Elementary Donates Blankets

Students at Brodhead Elementary School brought in blankets to give as early Christmas presents to the residents at the Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation Nursing Home. We collected 124 blankets.  Due to your generosity, each resident received a blanket for Christmas and we had extra to donate to the Cancer Care and Infusion Center at Rockcastle Regional Hospital. We would like to thank everyone who brought in blankets during our blanket drive. 2nd and 3rd grade students and members of the UNITE club went caroling at the nursing home on Tuesday, December 15th.  After caroling the students got to pass out the blankets to the residents and wish them a Merry Christmas.   A special thanks to Ms. Kim Woolum for working with the students during music class to get them prepared to carol and Ms. Sierra Williams for organizing the event.
