Head Start March Reading Contest Winner

Preschooler Sydney Bussell in Ms. Sheena’s class at MVES was this year’s Head Start March into Reading contest winner and received a Leap Frog Tag Reader.  The contest is held annually and consists of a list of reading activities that are completed at home with the child and their family.

    Preschool Enrollment Kick-Off

    Rockcastle County Schools will host a Preschool Enrollment Kick-Off on May 22, 2014 for ALL new incoming 2014-2015 preschoolers.  The event will be held on the playground at Mt. Vernon Elementary School (in case of bad weather, the event will be moved to the MVES gym) from 5:00-7:00 PM.

    Gobble, Gobble! Ms. Hannah’s preschool class dressed up as turkeys before sharing Thanksgiving Dinner with family members on Wednesday, November 20.
