Whitley County Raider & Drill Competition

Thirty-two Cadets from the Rockcastle County Rockets JROTC competed in the Whitley County Raider and Drill competition October 13th, 2018.

RCHS Art Class Creates Rocket Mural

Mr. Les Scalf and the Rockcastle County High School art class created a rocket mural to increase school spirit and promote community pride.  The mural is located at the Rockcastle County football field.

EKU Cadet Stakes Raider Competition

Twenty-seven Cadets from the RCHS Raider team competed in the EKU Cadet Stakes competition September 29th. The competition consisted of six events starting with a Modified Physical Fitness Test (MPFT), then a one-rope-bridge, grenade toss, boat relay race, litter relay race, and a mystery event.

Marching Rockets Win 1st Place at Corbin Marching Invitational

RCHS Students Learn Valuable Financial Skills

Rockcastle County High School seniors in Mrs. Stallsworth, Mrs. Bowling and Mrs. McNabb’s money skills classes met with the first of a series of guest speakers on Tuesday, September 25th. Students gained valuable information regarding checking accounts, loans and credit cards thanks to Jon Adams and Joanie Edgington from Citizen’s Bank.
