Congressional Art Competition

Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional district. Since the competition began in 1982, more than 650,000 high school students have participated.  This competition is open to high school students only.

Mason-Dixon Games Class 2A Indoor State Track Champions!

This past Saturday at the Mason-Dixon Games Class 2A Indoor State Track Championships, the RCHS girls’ track team successfully defended their indoor state championship title from last season, defeating heavily favored Louisville Central by a score of 66-60.  This was their 6th indoor state title overall. Rockcastle JROTC Rifle Team Competes at the All Army Air Rifle Championship

The Rockcastle County JROTC Precision and Sporter teams competed in the 2013 Army Service Championship February 15 and 16 2013.     RCHS Students Advance to Governor’s Cup

    The Rockcastle County High School Academic Team had three students advance to the State Governor’s Cup:

    RCMS/RCHS Band Students Perform at the 2013 KMEA District Solo and Ensemble Festival

    Recently students from the RCMS and RCHS Band programs performed for judges at the 2013 KMEA Solo and Ensemble Festival held at Lexington Catholic High School on February 16th.
