RCMS Students Dissect & Study Invasive Fish Species

RCMS Science Project

Students in Mr. Bottoms’ science classes dissected sea lamprey and yellow perch as a part of their life science unit. The students compared the external and internal structures of the creatures. The students have been studying how sea lamprey are causing problems in the Great Lakes as an invasive species.

RCMS Baseball Team Wins Conference Championship

Congratulations to the RCMS baseball A team on winning the Conference Championship on Wednesday night.  The team defeated Farristown Middle by a score of 15-0. Way to go Rockets!

RCMS Students Participate in Redbud Health Walk

Builders Club Red Bud Walk

Members of the RCMS Leadership Team and Builders Club attended the annual Renfro Valley Redbud Health Walk on April 18th. After a brisk walk, they enjoyed lunch and music on the grounds of the Country Music Hall of Fame and goodie bags provided by AHEC.

RCMS Students Show Compassion to Classmate’s Family

Thank you to 7th grade Adventures and 8th grade Challengers for bringing in $300 for a student’s father who is battling cancer.  Rockcastle Middle School students are a very compassionate group of students who always help those in a time of need.
