RCMS Students Participate in Live Downlink with NASA Astronaut

RCMS students Caleb Ballinger, Cameron Coy, Jackson Cromer, and Ryan Martin will participate in a live downlink with NASA astronaut, Dr. Tom Marshburn, from 9:45-10:05 on Friday, January 11th. Cameron’s question was one of only 20 chosen for Dr. Marshburn to answer during the live interview.

RCMS Y-Club Members Receive Recognition at KYA

Several members of the RCMS Student YMCA attended the Kentucky Youth Assembly Dec. 6-8. The group brought home the top honor after winning the award for Outstanding Delegation at the conference. This honor recognized the group’s overall quality and quantity of participation as well as their consideration for fellow delegations and YMCA staff.

RCMS Student YMCA Hat Day

On Friday, November 16th the Rockcastle County Middle School Y-Club held the first Hat Day of the year, where the students could pay $1 to wear their favorite hats for the day. Girls Exploring Math and Science (GEMS) Conference

RCMS Raises $1,000 in One Day!

Operation UNITE Regional Middle School Poster Contest

Operation UNITE is hosting a regional middle school poster contest to promote being drug free. RCMS winners at the school level were selected last week and awarded cash prizes. Congratulations to 1st place winner Jackson Cromer, 2nd place Dalton Durham, 3rd place Kennedy Carpenter, 4th place Joy Frith, and 5th place J.D. Hamilton.
