Electricity Students Wire Disaster Relief Trailer

Electrical Technology students at Rockcastle ATC are doing hands on work while helping people in need.  Under the supervision of instructor Jeff Draper, students are wiring this disaster relief trailer for the Lincoln County Baptist Association.  When completed, it will be used in disaster areas to provide meals for workers and victims.  As a Project Based Learning Assignment, students are using academic skills such as literacy, math, and science in conjunction with their electricity standards to complete this project for a real world customer.  Their 21st Century skills are also being refined as they work together to solve problems that arise during the course of the job.   Rockcastle ATC is proud of the serving spirit demonstrated by our outstanding students and staff.
