Emergency Broadband Benefit

Rockcastle County Schools participates in the National School Lunch Program’s Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), because of this, all households with a Rockcastle County Schools student qualifies for the Emergency Broadband Benefit. This federal program provides a $50 a month credit toward your family’s broadband bill along with a one-time $100 discount on a tablet.

To register for this program, households must complete two applications. The first application is through the FCC and the second is through your broadband provider, such as Windstream, Spectrum, PRTC, ATT, Verizon, etc.

  1. Apply for the benefit through the FCC at https://getemergencybroadband.org/. Create an account, complete the requested information, and select that your child(ren) attend a CEP (Community Eligibility Program) school with free lunch. Make a note of your Application ID.
  2. If your broadband provider is Windstream, visit https://www.windstream.com/covid-relief#/ to register.
  3. If your broadband provider is Spectrum, visit https://www.spectrum.net/login… and login to your account.

If you have another broadband provider, please see their website for more information on how to register.
