JROTC Battalion 19th Annual Military Ball

This past Saturday the Rockcastle JROTC Battalion held their 19th Annual Military Ball at the Rockcastle County Area and Technology Center. There was two portions of the Military Ball, a formal ceremony followed by a dance. The formal portion of the night consisted of the battalion serving dinner, celebrating their accomplishments, and recognizing the senior cadets and their parents. After the dinner there were two slideshows. One slideshow to showcase what the Battalion has been involved in over the past year, the other as a tribute to our senior cadets and our appreciation for their parents support. To close the formal ceremony a Military Ball King, Queen, Prince, and Princess were crowned. These cadets led off the first dance into the informal portion of the night. King and Queen for the night were Addison Atkin and Katlyn McGee. The Prince and Princess of the night were Austin Ramsey and Dana Hatfield. The Rocket Battalion would like to thank the special guests; Superintendent David Pensol and his wife, Kelly Pensol, Principal Jennifer Mattingly, and Assistant Principal Becky Smith, and all of the senior parents for their support. Over 127 guests showed up to Military Ball this year and we would also like to thank each of them.
