JROTC Service Learning Project

This past Thursday, May 15th The Rockcastle County High School JROTC Battalion participated in an annual community Service Learning project on Main Street at the Ashlee House. A Service Learning project is where Cadets from our battalion go out into the community to participate in community service projects to broaden their horizon and gain real world experience. The Ashlee House is a homeless shelter that’s goal is to provide help to families in need and help get them back on their feet. A team of eighteen dedicated Cadets cleaned and restocked three separate apartment units. These Cadets selflessly gave their time to scrub, clean, and enhance the appearance of these units.

Cadets who participated include:

Holden Abrams, Addison Atkin, Megan Boggs, Jeremiah Caudill, Ame Chiantaretto, Becka Davidson, Jodi Hellard, Tiffany Horn, Marybeth Hurst, Shania Lawson, Will Martin, Desiree Mason, Katlyn Mcgee, Shawn Osborne, Samantha Skinner, Derek Wynn, David Wynn, Derick Yates.
