Katie Vance Sets School Record for Social Studies
Katie Vance, captain of the RCHS Academic Team, made school history on March 19th when she placed ninth in the state in Social Studies at the KAAC Governor’s Cup State Finals in Louisville. Vance is only the third student in school history to reach the top ten in her subject and the first student ever at RCHS to do so in Social Studies.

The RCMS Academic Team competed at the KAAC Governor’s Cup State Finals in March. The Quick Recall Team (pictured) placed 32nd with the following students placing in their individual subject areas: Corey Coleman placed 19th in Social Studies. Ashley Brenda placed 19th in Language Arts. Bailey Cromer placed 25th in Composition and 15th in Language Arts. Joe Pickle placed 12th in Social Studies and 14th in Science. And, team captain, Elizabeth Mikeworth placed 14th in Composition and 12th in Science gaining the highest Science placement in RCMS school history.
