The RCHS girls’ cross-country team had a great performance and placed 9th at the KHSAA Class 2A State Cross-Country Championships on Saturday at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. With over two hundreds girls competing, freshman Tori Dotson led the way with an awesome state runner-up performance and the third fastest time in RCHS history, an exceptional 19:05. 8th grader Jasmine Ashcraft had the greatest performance of her career, placing 22nd overall with an awesome all-time personal best of 20:27. Senior Taylor Bullock ran great in the final race of her high school career, placing 83rd overall with one of her best times of the season and a great time of 22:06. Sophomore Kensie Sheffield came through with one of her best performances this season, finishing 101st with a great time of 22:24. 7th grader Allie Martin came very close to her all-time personal best, finishing 109th overall in a great time of 22:40. 7th grader Jailey Martin placed 124th and shattered her all-time personal best by over one minute with a great time of 22:55. 8th grader Erin Hindman ran her second fastest time this season, finishing with a great time of 24:46. RCHS freshman Tori Dotson finished as Class 2A state runner-up at the KHSAA Class 2A State Cross-Country Championships on Saturday at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. Tori’s awesome time of 19:05.88 was the third fastest of her brilliant career and the fastest time among all freshman competitors in all three state classes. Tori’s incredible performance ranked as the 8th fastest among all three state classes out of 643 girls that competed. She was also named to the all-state team for her outstanding state race, as well as her incredible season.
RCMS 8th grader Jasmine Ashcraft placed 22nd out of 207 competitors with an awesome performance at the KHSAA Class 2A State Cross-Country Championships at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington on Saturday. Jasmine earned all-state honors with her amazing all-time personal best performance of 20:27.6. Next season, she should become only the 4th girl in RCHS history to break the 20 minute barrier.
