KY Fish and Wildlife Program Visits RES

On Wednesday, October 9th Betty Lewis came to our school from the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Conservation Program. Betty told us about lots of mammals and she also let us pass around a coyote and mink pelt.  The mink fur was really small and soft. The coyote pelt was big and soft. She taught us how the people in the olden days hunted up until now. I think all the kids learned something they didn’t already know. I know she taught me a lot. We’re looking forward to her coming back and teaching us a lot of different things about animals of Kentucky.
