Members of the RCMS Leadership Team and the RCHS Honors Club and Berea Scholars participated the Community Hunger Walk in Mt. Vernon on Wednesday to promote awareness of the need for food for many in our community. The groups had the honor of conducting the balloon launch. Over 700 pounds of food was collected at the event which consisted of 331 walkers.
This was the 3rd year for the RCMS Leadership Team to participate and collect food for the walk.
The RCHS Honors Club was a co-sponsor of the event. Both the Honors Club and Berea Scholars members contributed food items for the cause.
