McClure Named Class 4A District 6 Player of the Year

Chayse McClure was honored with the Class 4A District 6 Player of the Year this past weekend during the State Championship game in Bowling Green.

Chayse is the first Rockcastle player to win this award since Dusty Miller in 2006.

He finished his career as the only player in school history to have over 1000 yards in both Rushing (1756 yds) and Passing (1449). He also added 314 yards Receiving,  32 Touchdowns, 206 total points scored,  and 154 defensive tackles in his career.

Chayse was a 4 year Letterman, 2 year Captain,  2015 All- State as a Defensive Back, ’15 WYMT All Mountain Team Selection, Operation UNITE  Bowl MVP in ’15 & ’16 and led his team to the District Championship and a 10-2 record this season.

He will likely be receiving additional honors from local, regional, and state outlets as they are announced later this month.
