MVES Fifth Grade Pays Tribute to Special Veteran

On November 11, 2013 Fifth Grade Students at Mount Vernon Elementary School were treated to a special guest speaker, Master Sergeant Chris Mason with the United States Air Force. Students were urged by Master Sergeant Mason to practice the key values and pillars of character embedded within the Air Force. He spoke on integrity, and making right choices and decisions that will impact us throughout life. Students were challenged to serve others and make their word be good always. This veteran proved to us that service is always do good for our fellow man, not just in war times but in times of peace also. Students in Mrs. Cameron, Mrs. Coguer and Mrs. King’s classes presented Master Sergeant Chris Mason with a bronze Air Force pocket watch as a small token of our gratitude and appreciation for his service to our country and the fight for our FREEDOM! MVES Fifth Grade wants to THANK ALL VETERANS for their SERVICE, COMMITMENT, and SACRIFICE.
