Mrs. Rumsey’s Class News:

This is Reiley Daniels , Learin Reagan, and Brandon Valle showing off their recent biography study projects. They look great as a famous person right?! The whole class did the project but we drew names to see who got to be in the paper.

Some members of 4th and 5th grade UNITE Club participated in the balloon launch at the UNITE Bowl last Friday night at halftime during the RCHS Football win over Clay County.  Rockcastle Unite club also won the coveted toilet paper trophy, for collecting the most rolls of toilet paper against Clay Co. Toilet paper is collected to help offset costs for area rehabilitation centers.

Mrs. Asher’s Class News:

On October 23, 4th graders at MVES visited Sigmon Farm for the 23rd Annual Farm Field Day. Students visited different stations throughout the farm and learned about making healthy drink choices, watersheds, where our food comes from, pumpkins and beekeeping.  This is one of the 4th grades favorite trips of the year and we would like to thank the Sigmon’s for providing food and drinks to all the students and opening up their farm to our local students.

Students listened as John McQueary did a presentation on water sheds and how and why we should take care of our water.
