The Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) program is a financial resource for families with students who lost access to free or reduced-price school meals due to COVID-19. P-EBT provides households an EBT card with funds to spend on food at home for students. The P-EBT benefit is a one-time benefit of $313.50 per eligible student. Because ALL Rockcastle County schools operate under the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), all Rockcastle County students with an SSID are eligible for this benefit.
- Automatic participation from SNAP benefit: Currently enrolled students who are receiving SNAP benefits on an active EBT card will automatically receive additional funds for P-EBT on their card. The guardian and/or parent does not need to do anything.
- Automatic participation from other Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) income-eligible program benefits: Currently enrolled students who are receiving Medicaid or KTAP benefits based on income levels below the NSLP income guidelines, or who are in foster care, will automatically receive a P-EBT card in the mail with instructions. The guardian and/or parent does not need to do anything.
- Elective participation: Rockcastle County students who do not qualify based on items listed in #1 and #2 simply enroll online at: benefind.ky.gov . Applications will be taken from June 1, 2020 through August 31, 2020. Student name, address, date of birth and Statewide Student Identification (SSID) are required. → Your student’s SSID will be mailed to you the week of May 25th or you can find them on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal ←
