P-EBT Food Benefit Program for Rockcastle County Students

​The Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) program is a financial resource for families with students who lost access to free or reduced-price school meals due to COVID-19. P-EBT provides households an EBT card with funds to spend on food at home for students. The P-EBT benefit is a one-time benefit of $313.50 per eligible student. Because ALL Rockcastle County schools operate under the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), all Rockcastle County students with an SSID are eligible for this benefit.

Participation

  1. Automatic participation from SNAP benefit: Currently enrolled students who are receiving SNAP benefits on an active EBT card will automatically receive additional funds for P-EBT on their card. The guardian and/or parent does not need to do anything.
  2. Automatic participation from other Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) income-eligible program benefits: Currently enrolled students who are receiving Medicaid or KTAP benefits based on income levels below the NSLP income guidelines, or who are in foster care, will automatically receive a P-EBT card in the mail with instructions. The guardian and/or parent does not need to do anything.
  3. Elective participation: Rockcastle County students who do not qualify based on items listed in #1 and #2 simply enroll online at:  benefind.ky.gov .  Applications will be taken from June 1, 2020 through August 31, 2020.  Student name, address, date of birth and Statewide Student Identification (SSID) are required. → Your student’s SSID will be mailed to you the week of May 25th or you can find them on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal
