RCMS “Being Drug Free Makes Cents”

During Red Ribbon Week, RCMS showed that “Being Drug Free Makes Cents” on Tuesday.  The students brought in $600 worth of spare change to donate to Pennies for Patients and help patients with blood cancers like Leukemia and Lymphoma.

RCMS 7th grader and cancer survivor, Caitlin Newcomb, helped head up the efforts and presented the $600 check.

Unite Club Historian and Leadership Team member Autumn Courtney helped count the thousands of coins.

6th grade Unite and Leadership Team members Kyle Coffey and Camden Mink loaded up the coins to take to the bank.  Congratulations to Mrs. Tammy Gabbard’s 8th grade Comets homeroom on bringing in the most change and winning a popcorn and movie party.

6th grader Reagan Chasteen brought in an Easter basket full of coins that she had collected for this very special day.

Thanks RCMS students for showing that you care about others!
