On Monday, November 11th Roundstone Elementary had a spectacular Veteran’s day. Many veterans came to visit that day. Veterans were greeted with hall displays made by preschool, kindergarten, and first grade showing appreciation for their service. Second graders wrote a letter to a veteran. Fifthgraders performed a song named “For the Good of the Many”. Our own Roundstone color guard did a wonderful job on their marching and were loud and clear with their commands. Students Kerrigan Medley and Zachery Sadler were the Masters of Ceremonies. Good job Zach and Kerrigan! Audrey Childress sang a solo “America the Beautiful”. Third graders gave a fantastic multi-media presentation on the American Flag. Each of them explained what art medium they used to create their part of the flag and then they told what each star and stripe meant to them. Fourth graders created a PowerPoint presentation telling about each branch of the military. Then each veteran was asked to stand when their branch was announced to be honored. Thanks veterans for your service to our country. I can’t wait to celebrate Veteran’s Day again!
