RCHS JROTC Celebrates its 18th Annual Military Ball

Saturday March 23, 2013 the Rockcastle County JROTC Rocket Battalion held their 18th annual Military Ball at the Rockcastle Area and Technology Center.  There were two portions to the Military Ball, a formal ceremony and a dance that followed. During the formal part of the night the Battalion had a dinner prepared by the Rockcastle High School FCCLA organization, celebrated their accomplishments over the year, and recognized the seniors and their parents. Following the dinner a slideshow was presented showing the events that the Battalion participated in over the past year. There was also another slideshow recognizing the seniors and our appreciation for their parents support while they have been in the program. At the end of the formal ceremony a Military Ball King, Queen, Prince, and Princess was crowned and led the first dance into the informal part of the night. The King and the Queen for the night were Justin Houk and Shania Lawson.  The Prince and Princess of the night were Addison Atkin, and Tiffany Horn. The Rocket Battalion would like to thank their special guests of the night; Superintendent David Pensol and his wife Kelly Pensol, Principal Jennifer Mattingly, and all the senior parents for their support throughout the year and on the Battalions special night. The Battalion would also like to thank Ms. Tammy Camel and the FCCLA for preparing the dinner.
