Rockcastle Rallies Against Pension Reform

On Thursday, March 8, 2018, current and retired staff members, parents, students and community members rallied to show opposition to the current pension reform bill and to show support for the Kentucky public education system.

“Promises were made to us by the Commonwealth, and those promises need to be kept by the Commonwealth,” Erin Grace, a teacher at Rockcastle County High School and the President of Rockcastle County Education Association, said in a statement. “We need, as a state, to keep funding our schools. The services our kids need and the people who devote their working lives to providing those must remain a top priority and not be seen as a burden.”
