Students Compete at Kentucky HOSA Conference

On Thursday, March 17, 2016 six HOSA members from the Rockcastle Area Technology Center traveled to Louisville Kentucky for the 2016 Kentucky HOSA Conference. These highly motivated students competed in leadership and skill competitions. Senior Caitlyn Whitt competed in nursing assistant, Juniors Jaiden Barnes, Chelsea Barnett, Abby Bray, and Arie-Anna Lawson competed in HOSA bowl and placed 2nd out of 15 teams. Sophomore Joy Frith competed in research persuasive speaking.
Health Science instructor Rhonda Childress is very proud of these members for their hard work, as well as their professionalism displayed during the two-day convention. She would also like to think Darrell Allen for organizing the transportation for the group. The HOSA Bowl team will have the opportunity to compete at the National HOSA Conference in Nashville Tennessee in June 2016.
