Students Excel at SkillsUSA State Leadership Conference


On April 3rd, Curtis Miller represented Rockcastle SkillsUSA at the State Leadership Conference in Louisville.  Curtis competed in Job Demo A demonstrating the procedure for using an oxy-acetelyne torch and placed 1st in the state. Rockcastle ATC appreciates the work and dedication demonstrated by Curtis.


Rebekah Renner, Automotive Technology student at Rockcastle ATC, recently represented Rockcastle county at the State SkillsUSA Conference during the first week of April. She competed in the Poster Design contest and placed 2nd in the state. We congratulate Rebekah on a job well done.


Rockcastle ATC would like to congratulate senior welding student Eric McCracken on his recent accomplishments at the State SkillsUSA Leadership Conference during the 1st week of April. Eric represented Rockcastle county and the Southeast region of SkillsUSA in “Welding 2”. He placed 1st in his competition winning a scholarship valued at 17,000 dollars to Tulsa School of Welding in Jacksonville, Florida. Eric is scheduled to start school there in June to continue his welding training and further develop his skills.
