Brodhead Elementary School 5th grader Natalee Bailey recently won the “Why My Grandparent Should be the AARP Grandparent of the Year Award” essay contest.
Natalee was presented with the award at the April Retired Teacher Association luncheon and was given the opportunity to read the essay to her grandmother.

AARP Kentucky and Kentucky Retired Teachers Association sponsored the essay contest “Why my Grandparents should be the AARP Kentucky Grandparents Of The Year.” Roundstone Elementary 5th grader, Kaliee Collins was the school winner of the contest.

Carson King, Mt. Vernon Elementary School 5th Grader received a $50 cash prize for being the county winner of the Grandparent’s Essay sponsored by Rockcastle County Retired Teacher’s Association and AARP.

Congratulations to Karalinn Loudermilk, 5th grade winner of the Brodhead Elementary, AARP Kentucky and Kentucky Teachers Association “Grandparent of the Year” essay contest.
