RES Students Create Art with Mentors at RCHS

Randomly selected 5th grade RES students recently went to RCHS for an art project. At this event they were paired up with a mentor.  They created designs and painted them on the back of their mentors’ hands. After that, they designed and painted plaster hearts.

MVES FRC After-school Enrichment

Congressional Art Competition

Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional district. Since the competition began in 1982, more than 650,000 high school students have participated.  This competition is open to high school students only.

2012 Jim Claypool Conservation Art Contest

Congratulations to Kelsey Carlton, Aliah Bray and Jacob Lopez from Mrs. Breanna Adams’ 4th grade classroom at Brodhead Elementary. Their posters were chosen as the winners of the 2012 Jim Claypool Conservation Art Contest.  They will represent BES at the county level.  Awards will be presented at a banquet next spring.
