Builders Club Accepts Veterans Day Program Donation

Veterans Day 2018

Rockcastle County Middle School Builders Club was honored to accept a $100 donation from the local Kiwanis Club.  The donation will be used to off-set the cost of the annual RCMS Veterans Day program that will be held on November 9, 2018.

RCMS Celebrates Constitution Week

8th graders Emma Phillips and Emma Ballinger joined Jean Gentry and Patsy McFalls from the Daughters of the American Revolution as Assistant Principal Robert Phillips signed the proclamation of September 17-23 as Constitution Week.  Constitution Week is the commemoration of America’s most important document and is celebrated annually.

RCMS Students Dissect & Study Invasive Fish Species

RCMS Science Project

Students in Mr. Bottoms’ science classes dissected sea lamprey and yellow perch as a part of their life science unit. The students compared the external and internal structures of the creatures. The students have been studying how sea lamprey are causing problems in the Great Lakes as an invasive species.

RCMS Baseball Team Wins Conference Championship

Congratulations to the RCMS baseball A team on winning the Conference Championship on Wednesday night.  The team defeated Farristown Middle by a score of 15-0. Way to go Rockets!

RCMS Students Participate in Redbud Health Walk

Members of the RCMS Leadership Team and Builders Club attended the annual Renfro Valley Redbud Health Walk on April 18th. After a brisk walk, they enjoyed lunch and music on the grounds of the Country Music Hall of Fame and goodie bags provided by AHEC.

RCMS “Dollars & Sense” Day

Ramsey Excels with KY Middle School All-Star Team

Congratulations to RCMS 8th grader TJ Ramsey who made the Kentucky Middle School All-Star Team.  He played strong safety for the white team on Sunday at Kentucky State University Alumni Field.  His team won 37-7.
