Task Force Teams Established for #HealthyAtSchool

Rockcastle Families:

The safety of students, staff and the community is our number one priority in planning for the 2020-2021 school year. Students that choose traditional school will return to campus and classrooms on a regular schedule with in-person teachers (start date to be determined). Health and safety procedures outlined in Kentucky’s Healthy at School Guidelines will be followed. Students enrolled in Online Learning will be consistently monitored by RCS teachers and staff for successful progress/completion of coursework.

In an effort to provide the best possible experience and meet necessary safety requirements, regardless of which option is chosen, Rockcastle County Schools have established four Task Force Teams to help develop and implement policies and procedures for reopening school:

  • Health and Safety
  • Quality Instruction
  • Support for Exceptional Learners
  • School and District Operations

Task Force Teams are made up of Central Office Staff, Administrators, Teachers, Classified and Certified Staff, Community Members, Parents, and the Rockcastle County High School Student Council.  While we know that there are many questions and uncertainties, rest assured that we are working diligently to provide our students with a quality experience. Please note, if you have submitted questions to the Google Form, those questions will be answered as soon as possible. The Task Force Teams are reviewing all questions and assisting with communicating answers. We appreciate the support of the entire Rockcastle County community during this time and we look forward to serving our students!
