A Project of the Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee
The Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee is proud to invite you to participate in its first Congressional Apps Challenge. We encourage you to join us as we challenge high school and college students to compete against each other in app design and programming and to provide Members of the Congress the opportunity to encourage and recognize the technical and creative talents of their young constituents. Modeled after the Congressional Art Competition, the Congressional App Challenge promotes STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education by recognizing and incentivizing our nation’s young programming talent. As our Congress continues to grapple with technology policy issues ranging from privacy to intellectual property, the Congressional App Competition gives these Members more hands-on experience with technology and entrepreneurship by connecting them with young programmers in their districts. This will help them legislate wisely on issues that enable the United States to compete in a global information economy.
