Scholarship Update
|Stop the Bleed Scholarship
The STOP THE BLEED Scholarship is for all high school students. You can help yourself and help your school by a) making a 1 to 2 minute video or b) writing an essay from 250 to 500 words addressing one of the topic areas below.
- Topic #1: Describe or show how you think Stop the Bleed helps to enhance personal and community resilience.
- Topic #2: Describe or show how Stop the Bleed training can help at an accident, before emergency responders arrive.
- Topic #3: Make the case: Do you think some or all students should be required to learn to Stop the Bleed?
Winning students will receive scholarship money towards post-secondary education. The schools of the winning students will receive free STOP THE BLEED® Kits. Scholarship amounts awarded are as follows, $3,000 for first place, $1,500 for second place, and $500 for third place. The following link will provide more information about STOP THE BLEED and is also where you submit your application. The deadline to apply is April 21, 2020.

The Upper Cumberland Counseling Scholarship deadline has been extended to Friday, April 24.
Where do I submit my scholarship applications?
- Please mail all scholarships to the address provided on the application.
- The Rockcastle County Community Scholarship application can be emailed to clontzclan@gmail.com or mailed to : Tammy Clontz, 760 Clontz Road – Mt. Vernon, KY 40456
- All other scholarships should be mailed to RCHS with attention to the guidance office.
