Students should bring their report cards home on Thursday. 7th and 8th graders will also bring home results from last spring’s K-Prep assessment.
Congratulations to the Academic Team for their third-place finish in Saturday’s Fleming County Invitational Academic Tournament. Leading scorers included Joy Frith, Mahala King, Clare Beichler, Katie Vance, Charles Clark, Drew Bullock and Tessa Pickle.
Remember to be collecting your Box Tops for Education. The teams are in competition to see who can bring in the most. The current contest will run through October 25th.
Congratulations to Mrs. Mrs. Gabbard’s 8th grade Comets on winning the attendance battle last week. Mrs. Hopkins’ 7th grade homeroom came in second followed by Mr. McNabb’s 8th grade Comets.
On Thursday, Oct. 3rd, we will be having our annual book give-away in the media center. The Leadership Team will also be hosting Candy for a Cause. Students can bring 50 cents, buy candy, and help raise money for cancer patients.
On Wednesday, Oct. 9th, the Kona Ice truck will be here. Students can buy shaved ice and help the 8th graders get funds for an 8th grade trip.
There will be no school on Friday, October 4th.
