Lunch for today will be grilled chicken sandwiches, salad, Doritos, carrot & celery cups, and fruit.

Auditions for the spring musical will be tomorrow after school. See Ms. Hunt or Ms. Smith for an information sheet and permission form.

Today will be RTI2.

There will be a Valentine’s Day dance on Friday.  Tickets will be $3 each. Concessions will be available.  8th graders need to bring in individual bags of chips, canned drinks, candy bars, or Little Debbie cakes to sell at the dance.  Drop off donations with Ms. Cromer.

Studies have shown that artwork in the healthcare setting have direct benefits to patients during the healing process. With this in mind, the Cancer Care center at Rockcastle Hospital would like to display some artwork from RCMS students.  Students who submit artwork will be in a drawing for a $25 Wal-mart card. Students can see Mrs. Cromer for the necessary registration form and paper.

Volleyball tryouts will begin today for all 6th graders and for 7th and 8th graders who have not played before.  Tomorrow practice will be for 7th and 8th graders who have played before.  You must have an up-to-date sports physical.

Baseball tryouts will be here tonight from 7-9.

There is no softball practice today.

The free haircuts will be on Wednesday.  Stop by the youth services center for more information.

Congratulations to the archery team on a good performance at Regionals on Saturday.  Brylee Gill led the way by hitting the bullseye 13 times and finishing with a team high 265.  Liz Renner also shot well on Saturday finishing with 257.  The top male shooters for RCMS were Andrew Sargent with 250 and Gentry Phillips with 248.  Also finishing in the top twelve to add to the total team score of 2911 was Leann Tankersley, Michael Roebuck, Jeremiah Powell, Eric Sparks, Ethan Carpenter, Freddie Doyle, T.J. Ramsey and Sara Daugherty.

Congratulations to the RCMS girls’ track team who won their first meet at Mason County on Saturday by 82 points.  Tori Dotson and Autumn Courtney helped the varsity team to a 15-point win over Louisville Male High School.
