The Rockcastle County Middle School Cheerleaders competed in the Kentucky Association of Pep Organization Sponsors (KAPOS) State Middle School Cheerleading Championship on Saturday, December 15th. The competition took place at Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. RCMS qualified for the State Championship with their 1st place finish at the 12th Region Cheerleading Competition in mid-November. The RCMS Cheer team gave a perfect performance with zero deductions, finishing with a score of 80.4. This is the second time in school history, the first being in 2016, that the RCMS Cheerleaders have competed at the state competition.
