A Message from Bluegrass Orthopaedics

August 18, 2020

Dear Athletics’ Parents, Students, and Coaches,

Before the school year officially starts here at Rockcastle County High School, I want to introduce myself and let you all know what my role is here at the HS. My name is Ellen Reinhold and I am the new Athletic Trainer for RCHS. I started a little over a week ago and have already loved my time here.

For those of you that do not know, an Athletic Trainer is on staff for the health and safety of all athletes. My job is to prevent, manage, treat, and rehabilitate injuries that occur while your students are playing sports. I cover both practices and home games, as well as having open clinic hours in the Athletic Training Room (ATR) prior to practices. Should your student have pain while playing or become injured please have them come in. All in house services are free. My scope of practice also covers basic nutrition and strength and conditioning.

While these times are not ideal for sports, I have provided links below for more information about KHSAA’s COVID-19 guidelines should you wish to have up-to-date information.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns. My preferred contact is email, which is listed below. I look forward to working with your student athletes this coming year.
