The Rockcastle Gifted and Talented Department teamed with EKU’s Center for Environmental Education to provide Environmental Lessons to elementary schools across Rockcastle County. RCHS student leaders served as mentors while presenting lessons and set an example of Rocket Learners to Rocket Leaders.
Visiting elementary groups were able to participate in a variety of lessons focused on biodiversity, adaptations, conservation, predator/prey relationships, habitat, and animal behavior. Students were immersed in learning through play while visiting Maywood Environmental and Educational Laboratory!
