Each year, Automotive "concentrator" students at Rockcastle Area Technology are given the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) exams to demonstrate their retention of the training they have received. Students are required to take the Maintenance and Light Repair test as an indicator for Post Secondary Readiness. However, those passing the first test have the option of taking up to nine additional ASE tests free of charge. To pass all 10 is a significant accomplishment, and this year we are pleased to announce that three seniors and two juniors passed all 10 ASE certifications under the instruction of Mr. Lance Baldwin.
The students who achieved this remarkable feat are:
11th Grade:
Ethan Faulkner
Aiden Baker
12th Grade:
Eli Cook
Arthur "Lee" Denney
Trevor Hamilton
All five students are certified in the following areas:
Maintenance and Light Repair
Electrical/Electronic Systems
Brakes
Suspension and Steering
Engine Repair
Manual Drivetrain and Axles
Engine Performance
Heating and Air Conditioning
Automatic Transmission and Transaxle
Automobile Service Technology
Congratulations to these dedicated students for their hard work and outstanding achievement!
