Red Day

The County of Rockcastle Fiscal Court has officially proclaimed Friday, October 25, 2024, as "Rock Your Red Day," a community-wide event dedicated to promoting awareness of the dangers of drug abuse. This proclamation, signed by County Judge Executive Howell Holbrook and UNITE Chairman Marcus Reppert, recognizes the significant efforts of local U.N.I.T.E. Clubs and the Rockcastle U.N.I.T.E. Coalition in the ongoing fight against drug abuse within the county.

In an effort to bring attention to the importance of drug abuse prevention, all Rockcastle County citizens are encouraged to wear red on this day, symbolizing the community’s united stance against drugs and its commitment to battling the ongoing challenges of substance abuse.

This annual event aims to strengthen awareness and foster a sense of solidarity among residents as they continue to work towards a drug-free Rockcastle. By wearing red, participants will help promote education, prevention, and the resources available to support individuals and families affected by drug abuse.
