Rockcastle County High School held a heartfelt Veterans Day ceremony to honor and express gratitude to those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. The event featured distinguished guest speaker Sergeant Tom Atkin, a veteran of the U.S. Army who served during the first Gulf War, including both Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.
The school’s band and choir added a powerful musical dimension to the ceremony, performing several moving pieces that resonated throughout the venue. One of the most poignant moments came when they played “Taps” from the balcony, creating a solemn and reflective atmosphere that underscored the significance of the day.
