Last week, 107 Rockcastle County High School students were rewarded for their outstanding dedication to attendance with a fun-filled trip! From bowling to games and great food, it was a well-earned celebration of their commitment to being present and giving their best each day.
A huge thank you to Galaxy Bowling of Richmond for hosting our Rockets! 🚀

Tomorrow (Friday) is the deadline for your Kings Island deposit. The total cost is $60, which includes your ticket as well as a meal/drink band (meals every 90 minutes, drinks every 15).
The non-refundable deposit is $15. The balance is due April 24.
We are doing easy fundraising! Bring in a box of snack cakes, popsicles, and/or chips to be sold. We are also selling coupons for a car wash.
Please do not let cost keep you from participating. If cost is an issue, please see Mr. Adams, Mrs. Johnson, or Mrs. Smith.

Every month staff members select students from each content area who exemplify the month's Habit of the Month, and we are so proud of the students recognized for February!
Students recognized are (top photo) Michael Sparks, Aubrey Neikirk, Avery Napier, Natalie Reed, Michael Hargis, Sarah Thomas, Donovan Bradley, and (bottom photo) Kaylee Seals. Students are shown with teacher Chris Hendrickson and RCHS Principal Brandy Smith.

They were asked to explain and describe specific challenges children faced, how the children felt about the work they were doing, and how the children felt about school compared to work. In addition to analyzing data charts and tables about child labor over time, learners also engaged with a song connected to the life of a child worker during the Industrial Revolution, historical images, and other primary resources.
Students were excited about this blended learning activity!
