These students were selected to be Leader in Me students of the month. Our Leader in Me habit for the month of December was “Put First Things First”. Each content-area selected a student who they felt best demonstrated the habit in action! Our Leader in Me Students of the Month are pictured below ! This afternoon, RCHS senior Macy Spivey signed to play basketball and softball at Lindsey Wilson University. In the picture, she is surrounded by her basketball and softball teammates. We are so proud of Macy and can't wait to see her play next year!

Class of 2026: The deadline to order a graduation cap & gown is Thursday, January 15. If you experience any issues with ordering by that deadline, please contact the high school. Directions for ordering can be found on the school's FB page.

Seniors & Guardians, several students still need to order the cap & gown for graduation. To order, use the link below and follow the directions. You can purchase a package; however, the directions will help if you are primarily interested in the cap & gown.

When ordering the Cap & Gown Unit, you’ll go through these steps:
1. Cap & Gown – Select your height, weight, and gender to ensure the correct size. (Tassel included)
2. Tassels – This is an extra keepsake tassel. Choose “No Thanks” if you don’t want one.
3. Apparel – Optional senior apparel. Select “No Thanks” if you don’t want any.
4. Announcements – Optional graduation announcements. Select “No Thanks” if not needed.

This afternoon, several seniors are taking advantage of one-on-one FAFSA assistance with Joplin Rice, a representative from KHEAA. He will be with us until 3:00 PM today!

Rockcastle County High School completed an unannounced lockdown drill today. Everything went smoothly and students returned to class when the drill was complete. Thank you!

Senior & Senior Parents:
Our FAFSA Help Session with Joplin Rice from KHEAA (Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority) has been scheduled for Thursday, December 18. He will be here from 12-3 in the counselors' office. Any senior who has not started the FAFSA or needs help completing the form needs to stop by.
Parents/Guardians can attend this session. Mr. Rice's next visit will not be until March.

Candy Cane Lane Winterball is tonight from 6–9 PM! 🎄
Rockcastle County Schools is continuing to monitor the weather in collaboration with the National Weather Service.

If inclement weather arrives earlier than expected, Winterball will dismiss early to ensure all students and staff are able to get home safely.

Thank you for your continued understanding and support as we prioritize safety.

Tonight's chorus concert has been rescheduled for next Tuesday.

Tomorrow's Winter Ball and ACT administration are still scheduled as planned. We are working to clear the drive and parking lot. Any updates/changes will be posted via social media. Thank you!!! Enjoy the day. ❄️☃️

The ACT scheduled for Sunday, December 14, is postponed and in the process of being rescheduled for a date in January. Anyone registered, check your email for very important details and further instructions from ACT.

Saturday's exam will continue as scheduled.
