If you have questions about the workshop, contact Amy Ford Parham or Casey Harper at the high school.

This October, we’re focusing on Habit 1: Be Proactive — taking charge of your actions, words, and choices. Instead of reacting to what happens around you, choose a positive response and focus on what you can control.

Club day will be this Friday, and the deadline for school day PSAT and SAT is also on Friday.
In addtion, we have several students who will be taking the ACT on Saturday, October 18, or Sunday, October 19. Anyone taking the ACT on a weekend date must have their photo uploaded into MyACT by October 10, or the exam will be cancelled. Don't wait to get your photo uploaded!

Our principals lead with vision and purpose, nurture growth for students and staff, and help shape the future of our Rocket Leaders. Join us in celebrating their dedication and the lasting impact they make across Rockcastle County Schools!

Each month, we’ll spotlight one of the 7 Habits from the Leader in Me framework — powerful principles that help students build leadership, responsibility, and strong character. These habits connect directly to our Portrait of a Rocket work, guiding learners to lead themselves, collaborate with others, and grow continuously — in school and beyond.
Stay tuned as we explore each habit and highlight the many ways our Rockets put them into action every day! 🚀💙

An informational meeting to get the season started will be on September 30 from 3:00-4:30 in RATC Room 116. Stay and learn about competitions, volunteer and leadership opportunities, and more. Pizza and drinks provided.
See Mrs. Starla Benge in RATC Room 116 for more information.
Hope to see you there!

We are excited to say that RCHS already offers both the SAT and the ACT to our students, so the adjustment to a new spring assessment will be a smooth one. Both exams offer our students the chance to showcase their learning through exams that are accepted by colleges and universities in Kentucky and around the country. Both exams are also recognized by scholarship programs and for KEES funds.
The attached graphic provides a brief comparison of the two exams.
Registration is currently open for SAT School Day, PSAT School Day, SAT Saturdays, and ACT Weekends. See Ms. Susan Norton-Casey for more information!
